Nobody Want's to Really Work

Isn't it funny how many people are out of work but how hard it is to find someone willing to work for a paycheck? I had a new guy that was suppose to start today and he calls the morning that something came up. I originally spoke with this guy mid last week. I guess I can't blame these people. I wouldn't want to work either if I could stay at home and collect a pay check.

Thanks OBAMA!! :wave3:

I agree, too many lazyasses out there not wanting to work anymore.

Here there is a bad problem of girls having kids because of what they get from the government in help and money, it is really a shame but that is how some generations of families have lived on and worked the system down to a science.

I get calls all the time from guys saying that they are looking for work but want me to sign a paper so they can turn it in to the unemployment office or some other place and that is over the phone, no meeting, no talks, no discussion of the job details, just wanting me to sign a paper and I tell them no because I will not help them suck on the system like so many other lazyasses do. O Well.

I agree it is hard to find good help, especially people that don't mind getting a little wet or dirty for a paycheck. It is really sad.

I am not sure of what is happening to america, maybe the dumbass music videos showing all the gold, money and cars for making some songs and make it look so easy that people don't want to work anymore or maybe it is not good work ethics passed down from parents to kids as they grow up. I don't know but something needs to change.

I think they never got a boot in their ass !!

They want to sit on the cell phone all day and not do what they should then wonder why the got $h!t canned. I am just about over employees. Everyone under 30 these days thinks they are entitled to a free and easy ride. It sucks and we wonder why other countries are kicking our a$$es in growth. I hate that big corps go overseas but sometimes I can see why. in America the typical office employee only works 2hrs out of an 8 hr day.

Good help is hard to find these days. Something sounds great to them til you tell them to show up for work at 1 or 2 AM and they run. I guess no one likes working nights anymore.

No Doubt! I have been through TONS of people for the lawn care biz. I also have a VERY narrow profile of people that I will hire....the name of the company eliminates most applicants from the get go, and it gets even more narrow from there. However, if I was unemployed and needed work, had a family to support, bills to pay, etc, I would do just about anything. I guess that is why some people rise to the top and others flail about in mediocrity.

I have no sympathy for some.

And thats the reason why we run our own businesses and not rely on the system for our hand outs and that's why we all invest money and time for further our business's and make money we are go getters :)

It's funny to me that whites and blacks in this country stand on the corner with a sign begging for money yet a Hispanic stands at home depot and gas stations asking for work a fairs day work for a fairs day pay. I seen a guy in Tampa that had a sign that read "need money for fried chicken".

If I lost everything and was on the streets I would go to every business and empty trash for what ever they would pay!

I had heard this over and over and finally hired a hispanic guy to help with the lawn side of business. AWESOME WORKER!! very respectful and thankful for the job. A few years back when I owned a gas station/repair shop in a previous life--had young men/kids pumping gas and 90% sucked..wanted the money, not the work. Forget about trying to get the high school kids to pick up a broom and clean a dirty shop. And clean the bathrooms--yeah right LOL

That's exactly right too.

Looking for any kind of work. MUST be a position that has authority and would need skills, though I don't have any. If you're looking for a man, I'll tell you later I'm a woman, and vice-versa. I wouldn't dare tell you my age, or give you a resume, because you could determine how old I am. I want you to have to see me walk in the door before you know that, even though your job requires someone who is either young enough to run 20 miles a day or old enough to handle irate clients. I need to be able to walk to work within 2 minutes because I don't know how to use public transportation, and I don't think saving up for a car or car-pooling should be my responsibility. 401K plan required. Health benefits should start day 1. 9-5 only. My daughter's situation requires me to be gone every other Wednesday. I know exactly what I want to do and will insist on doing it even though my unemployment has been cut off and my bills are piling up. I'll read an instruction manual, but that will be on-the-clock. This should be a fun post with lots of interesting girls to talk to. A job with international travel is great. I'm bi-lingual. I can speak Spanish, but I can't read or write it. If you want to know where I've worked before, you'll need to ask. If you want my phone number, I'm sorry. I haven't given that to anyone ANYONE since I left jail the last time. My previous employer was my brother-in-law. I have five children to feed. My spelin is reel gud. i punctuate and capitalize perfectly i have two years of experience and my ged and completed a course after that. I like to work jobs that last for a month or two so that I can be upwardly mobile. My rent is due, but your job sounds like too much work, and it's probably gross and beneath me. I don't touch people or money or animals or anything greasy. My horoscope says I could be a great financial planner. I'm the best person you've every employed. I need an advance after one day on the job.

I hired that guy...TWICE!

I ran the gammit on this. I actually thought about hiring ex cons because the gov't was going to pay out $5000 for every one your hire out for awhile. I know a carwash that is kicking butt doing this. I thought about it. Here's my answer. Get someone who wants to work as hard as your fore father did. Look for those type workers who just want to work hard to make a few bucks. They also take pride in there work....

So who as that??? an American...Doubt it. an Ilegal...Nah. Look for a spanish,Russian, or whatever country where the man has a working visa. I have two guys who are very thankful and can't thank me enough for the work they do. Sure I have workers comp and they pay there taxes. They Drive and there learning English better every day. This guys are hungry and they give a hoot just like your ancestors did.

Thats why I hire thise types because they care for themselves, There never ever late, They send money to there families and they also take alot of pride in there work Just like our ancestors did. Think about it. This takes that fat lazy American kid who just wants to Text and spread nudies on there phones right out of the picture. My goal is to make money with the best guy possible but they must be legal and until that fat blob typical American brat gets his act together I'm sticking with my loyal guys.

For the record, and at least from my experience, any employee can be a loyal employee, if you treat them right. Of course, they don't last as an employee if they don't work.

I still have guys that I have fired that come up and shake my hand or give me a hug every time they see me, because they knew I was always fair to them. I can only think of one employee that I have fired that won't, and that is because he was fired for cause, and tried to claim unemployment. I fought it, because I saw the cost would far outweigh any benefits he would have received. I did arrange for him to get some money, out of my pocket, but he does not know how it happened. I think that he thinks that some one else gave it to him. I am good with that.
