New Trucks!!

Awesome i wish you good luck with that after ten years i would hope you can trust them.

I tried that once. It was an abysmal failure. I had to keep cutting back and restricting my guys until it was no longer feasible. The biggest probelm is that they would not take the time to service them on a semi regular basis. I had one s-10 that we replaced teh tranny three times in 40k miles because the idiot refused to take the time to change the fluids.

I'm letting guys take trucks home now, I did this way back and had problems.

I'm attempting this again after 10 years, of course only with 10 year employees and supervisors.
Youve have people work for you for 10 years? Damn..............couldnt imagine.................

What tranny needs fluild changed in 40K miles?......................Oh I see...........chevy........nuff said.

scott i dont think it is the employes responsibility to perform maint on the take home trucks.I have let employes take home trucks and to be honest i would not even want them to change the oil.well thats just my 2 cents

I just want them to take it in. If they are going to drive the things, tehy need to have some responsibility for it. They pay for it with their company credit card, they charge me for the time they spend waiting, and they still don't do it.

I tried that last year and it lasted one day. One of my employees had been with me three years and I trusted him to have good judgement.

The very first night he had the truck I went out to dinner after work and saw my truck parked in front of a bar at 9 pm.

I wne t inside to talk to him about it and he was obviously over the limit.

I took the keys , gave him a ride home and will never let an employee take a truck home again.

The exposure and risk are too much. What would happen to my buisness and me if he got into and accident drunk in my truck.

No thanks!

Not a problem. Forward your revenues to me, meet objectives and no moonlighting and I will let you use my card to service your truck as often as necessary.
