New Trailer!!! What Now? :/

Thank You everyone for the input and saving me a lot of money! I have the set up but it needs work. The trailer does not have a brake and I want one with brakes and it needs other work: tires, lights work but do not flash and some are cracked, I want to coat the wood with Herculiner. I still want an enclosed trailer but can wait just to save money in case something goes wrong with washer. My trailer is 7x16 and I want something smaller to fit in garage. 7x14 or 6x14 I am getting a reclaim unit what size trailer are you runnung. Should I fix or replace trailer. The hose reals leak, the surface cleaner is cracked, hoses need replacing, the wands work fine. The washer and burner works very well only 173hrs. does not smoke no hot spots on surface of shield. Any comments are welcome.

You can buy a trailer light and wire kit for about $25.00 Just replace everything as it will take a long time to try to find the problems.

Brakes will cost about $200 for the hub and brake assembly, bearings, etc... If your trailer does not have brakes now you will need to run a power wire to the brakes and one to the ground of the trailer. The power wire will go to the harness but you will have to have a brake controller in the truck or no brakes in the trailer. You can buy them for about $50 to $125 depending on the brand and features. You can install it or have someone install it for you.

I quit using swivels on the hose reels as the swivels would not last too long. You can put a plug on the hose from the machine to the hose reel and a coupler on the end of the hose that would connect to the swivel so when you are going to use the hose, unroll what you need then connect the jumper from the machine to the end on the hose reel. When done, de-pressure the line by pulling the trigger of the gun or open the ball valve depending on how you set it up then disconnect the hose from the reel so you can roll up the hose onto the reel.

As far as fixing or replacing the trailer? If you need to do all that work I would replace it, bottom line it depends on how much time you have to invest.

Hose reels need to be replaced if they leak (at least thats waht I would do) unless they are only leaking from the swivel.

Where is the surface cleaner cracked? I would replace the deck if thats all it is but more than likely I would buy another surface cleaner too.

I will be passing thru there in a week if you would like to meet up for breakfast or dinner just let me know.

That is cool if you want to see pics of the trailer I can email them to you. I can not get them on here for some reason. I really want to replace the trailer but I do not know of anyone that can help remove the skid. I have an engine hoist but I do not know how that will work out. Where will you be at when you come down?
