NICE Tom !!! Send them for powder coating, maybe some airbrushed flames.

How big are they ?

This gave me some time on my welder, finally started to see the puddle.

31" and 24". The 31" looks huge, its a path of clean. Never use anything but 4 bars its the only way to go. Had a machine shop drill out the mosmatic hubs for 1/4" pipe and make new hubs and 'elbows'.

I would like to find where to order a spun or stamped stainless deck "frisbee" shape for the next ones w/vacuum? Youtube spun metal for some cool vids of the process. I found a lot of places where you can order 10,000 but haven't found a place for a few.

Go ahead and order 10,000 Tom. I'll help you start mass producing them.

I know that almost all machine shops are starving for work these days. I have a good friend that owns a fab shop here in Phoenix. Maybe we should talk ????

Try guys that make spun aluminium fenders for motorcycles. I use to buy fender blanks or salad bowls as the are called when I owned a custom motorycle shop. They come in halves that look like a bowl...they can make them however you want.

They're just regular 2" casters with threaded bolts. The wheels are polyurethane on 1/4" bolts and the casters turn on about 30 little BBs. The wheels last about 3 or 4 months and the casters are good for a year or more.

Exactly Mike. My guy here in Phoenix primarily does custom bike fab, water jetting, etc.

Thanks for the tip, I'll start looking in that direction.

I have similar wheel and ball bearing wheels on my Hydr Tek spinners. Need to constantly blow the sand, silt and other fines out of the bearings, and keep these soaked with WD40. Mine are still working well after 200+ hours on each spinner.

Jim try a Teflon spray instead of WD40, WD40 attracts dust and dirt pretty much, it actually gets sticky

I do use a silicone based and a Teflon type spray. I've also used WD40. The only issue I've experienced with my Hydro Tek ANT3 spinners is that the ball bearings above the wheels have a rubber seal, but does not completely seal the space between the base and the caster assembly. So regardless of what lubrication I have tried, the fines, silt and sand debris still finds it's way in there and starts to freeze the motion of the swivel.

Not a big deal, just need to stop every 4 to 6 hours and clean them out and lube them up. Besides that little issue, I love the ANT 3's.

Jim I have the cheap casters with no seal and I have never had them stick - ever - no maintenance whatsoever. They're not stainless or anything, with no seal anything that gets in comes out. When I first put them on I didn't think they would work, bearings would get chewed up, rust or something and I would grease em or silicone or wd but it doesn't make a bit of difference.

Hey Tom are those made of metal or alum? they look like metal. I have so many ideas to improve SC.

They're metal, just a project. I'll go with stainless when I want to do it for real.

To dummy stuff up I go to horror freight. When i have it figured out, it is off to Luna caster. For walk behind equipment, casters like that work well. If they wheels are on something self propelled though, you need something more heavy duty.
