New Logo - What Do You Think?

After almost 8 years in business I decided it was time to get a professional logo designed. I don't think logo's add much value to a small business because they will never become universally recognized the way the "golden arches" or coca-cola are but they do separate a real company from the Joe down the street passing out black and white fliers in a "no soliciting" neighborhood!

Anyways, here it is....let me know what you think!

It will come and go, and things maybe different in Houston, but the first thing I think about is that school shooting. I might be in the minority, but if that's my first reaction, I'm probably not alone.

That said, I personally like the logo, I just think it's more attractive to guys than girls and why alienate anyone. And I've never been to Texas, so the culture is probably different, but up here that logo would turn some people off.
 
You have a great looking logo Daniel but I'll have to agree with Premier, I think maybe your timing on it might be a little off. When I saw the logo I thought about the school shooting at 1st as well. Just my personal opinion, I'm not trying to put anyone down or anything.
 
I have a man on the side of all our units holding a wand. I had a little kid crying one time when he seen it and his dad said he thought it was a gun. I'd never thought of it before but now I see kids looking at it puzzled. I like your logo but I can also see what the others are saying.

I see what you are all saying - and to be clear it is a worker, with a hard hat and vest, and a pressure washing wand (not a gun) with the American flag in the background - and my company name is Pressure Washing America. In Texas, if anyone interprets this as something more that what it is, they would likely interpret as a man protecting us from events like what happened on Friday......like a Patriot, not a criminal.
