99 F250 diesel w/ 525 gallon tank. Nearly #7000 pounds when fully loaded with chems etc..

2005 Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesel Ram SLT Quadcab Longbed pulling a 7000 pound trailer with no problems whatsoever. I went with Diesel because of the durability and longevity of the engines. I almost bought the HEMI but realized that I would be dogging it all the time and racing other trucks so I thought of the Diesel which is more than strong enough to pull the trailer but when pulling the trailer I would get better mileage than with a gasoline engine so I went with Diesel. I plan on keeping this truck for a very long time and plan on building a bigger trailer. Whatever truck you decide on getting just make sure that your trailer has BRAKES on at least one or both axles because once in a while someone pulls out in front of you and you need to stop quick.
