Has anyone else in this industry developed nasal polyps? I finally got my nose checked out by an ENT specialist after dealing with chronic sinusitis for 3 years, and they found lots of polyps. He said they don't know why some people get them and others don't but there is usually an underlying infection (fungal or bacterial) or allergy. That got me thinking how I'm often in close contact with mildews, fungi, cyanobacteria, algae, lichen, and various chemicals on the job site, so maybe people in our industry have a higher rate of polyps.
By the way, steroids have got the inflammation down enough that I'm breathing much better, so I'm not even sure I'll get the surgery.
