NASA to lasso an asteroid

Talk about wasting out tax dollars.

The budget that is going to be presented by the president that was forced on us will have $100 million for the planning of NASA capturing an asteroid. That does not include the proposed budget of $2.6 billion to actually capture it and who knows how much to put the astronuts up there to walk on it.

NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA) and their partners around the world are preparing for the Earth collision with the asteroid 2019 PD. According to preliminary calculations, the most likely date for a potential collision is April 29, 2027. Although the 2019 PDC itself is fiction, the scenario being worked out itself is quite real. To date, the list of potentially dangerous celestial bodies includes 74 space objects.
