My Newest Piece of Equipment

I just got this today. My wife and I have been together since we were 16 years old, we use to go to TCBY all the time, I use to joke around and tell her that I'd have one of the soft-serve machines in my house some day. I got this one for a steal and just couldn't pass it up. The kids and I broke it down today and cleaned it all up, I have to have a 220V outlet put in so we can crank it up and enjoy some frozen yogurt. If you're ever in Savannah, stop by for a cup.....its also suppose to make some great margaritas, pina coloda's etc.

Good deal!!

Man Glad you got it on wheels, we rented one for a family get to gether 2 weeks ago and man them things are heavy!!!

Enjoy!!

Around 600lbs - HEAVY - took three of us to unload it from the back of a pickup and that was with a ramp. I'm going to build a table with wheels for it.

Great for your kids to make some extra money on the weekends too! It'll blow the lemonade stands out of the water!! Just have a big sign "Margaritas and Ice cream!!" who WOULDNT stop? lol

My 8 year old son is already planning his Ice Cream Stand.... he says he want to charge $18 per cup. I had to explain supply and demand as well as theory of "what the market will bear".

Regardless, I like his thought process....of course he will go back to school and talk about all the "hacks" selling Lemonade for a Quarter.

Three things I have always wanted:

1. Fountain soda machine - I love fountain soda! It is my coffee in the morning.

2. Beer Keg refrigerator with a tap - Nothing like freshly poured tap beer after a long hot day!

3. Soft serve ice cream machine - After having too many freshly poured tap beers, I gotta have something sweet. What better to take care of that craving than a soft serve machine.

Remind him not everybody that sells lemonade for a quarter is a hack. My girls give all the money they get for their lemonade stand to the humane society and to a cancer charity. 50 cents a cup...got $10 for one a couple times.

I have two keg coolers, one on wheels that we can roll around to where ever we want it and one built into an 8 ft bar on the patio. I love Ice cold draft beer!!.

Gary...it was a joke. One of the rules I live by is never pass a child's lemonade stand without buying a cup and giving them way more than they are asking.

Look at these pictures - this house burnt down last week...it was in my neighborhood, lightning strike, then a propane tank exploded, the family got out but everything they had was lost including one of their dogs. My son and I watched the fire department put it out---heartbreaking. The family had 3 year old son, this really had a great impact on my 8 year old boy and 6 year old girl....they were devasted at the thought of this little boy not having clothes, toys or a place to live (We have a son that is 3). The next day they went through the playroom and got LOTS of their toys and brought them to the house where the family was staying, they then came home and asked my wife if they could put up a lemonade stand to raise money to give to the family. $349 was raised - They only charged .50 a cup, people were very generous.

Mike, I wasn't offended, just sharing some life experience about lemonade...have had a fair share of lemons. Sorry if my response read that way.

My oldest daughter is the reason I'm back doing this, she has the spirit that I lost for a short time.

Kids sure do remind us of the good things we can do.
