My Marketing Video for Decks

I'm thinking of burning this video on DVD's and handing them out to customers when I do estimates. I'm hoping to increase my closing ratio with it.

I will be doing more videos in the future, this is only the first. I want to do one just like this for commercial work.

<object width="340" height="284"><param name="fileName" value="http://www.coloradoprowash.com/portfolio/albums/uploads/wood_care/videos/cpw_woodcommercial01.wmv"></param><param name="fileName" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.coloradoprowash.com/portfolio/albums/uploads/wood_care/videos/cpw_woodcommercial01.wmv" type="''application/x-mplayer2'" wmode="transparent" width="340" height="284"></embed></object>

This video is lower quality and should play all the way through with no problems. You may have to stop video at top though.

good video, starts slow but informative. Not my first choice for background music, its a bit weird. Other than that, nice job I think customers will like it.

I wasn't sure what to do for background music/sound. Thanks for your input.

Here is the revised video with background music that fits better.

I'm 39 which is a good target market for your video. Women are another target you should be shooting for since they are usually the ones that push to hire someone instead of a guy doing it himself.

I don't like posting on other peoples videos and marketing material very much because I have a tendency to be too blunt and people think I'm trying to be a jerk. Why they think I would waste my time typing out a response if I wasn't trying to help is beyond me, I'm posting to try to help you out.

Here are my suggestions:

I would suggest shortening the video and stop switching from before-washing-after over and over.

Explain your process, don't make me read it.

Less examples, give me reasons why I should hire you over the cheaper guy.
Is your sealer better?
will your chems kill my plants?
Will you damage my deck with high pressure?

I started creating videos about 6 years ago and they can be an excellent selling tool if the client watches them. If they are too long and just continue showing variations of the same thing they will stop watching. Be different, do something that stands out in their mind when they are looking at bids.

I'll see if I can find some videos I used a few years ago and post them in a private area where you can see them. I quit posting and showing my marketing material when I started to see copies of it everywhere after I won a PWNA marketing competition.

I'd love to see your videos too, if that's something you're fine with.

Good Advice Henry. Thanks!!

Wow Henry those are really nice. I like the music especially for all the special services you have provided for cancer patients and all. Very nice. I had my wife look at that and I thought she was gonna cry!

Thanks Larry...

Back when I made them I thought they were pretty good. I still keep them on my site but I've done some I thought were much better. I'm going to be shooting some new ones over the next couple of weeks for some new things I want to try out for marketing pressure washing.

Matt - Here is the first and LAST deck of this summer. I did this on friday. This reminded me how much I cant stand doing woodcare...ugh:mad: . Well at least it turned out nice:rolleyes: . I stained this deck last year Cabot Tile Red Semi Solid now this year they wanted brown so we went with Cabot Misson Brown Solid Acrylic.

All the deck calls I get are coming your way...;)
