My Deckster..

I have had my Deckster for about five years now. I wanted to say that everything has been exactly as I understood according to how it was described by Sunbrite when I bought it.

Today I just ordered all new hoses, a switch, battery, gun and fuse holder. These are most of the parts that could go bad and were very affordable considering the money I will earn from this piece of equipment this year. I ordered a rebuild kit last year, but found that my problem was actually the battery. It was the end of the season so I just used a deep cycle (one I already had) to get me by. It is always good to get an old guy on the phone to shoot you straight once in a while.

Thanks, Pete, Tracy and the gang!

your switch and fuse lasted 5 years?
How's it going Charlie? Are you you the guyto in the Armstrong Clark ad in Cleaner Tmes? To answer your question: No, you have any upgrade ideas? I was not paying attention once and reversed the polarity which blew the fuse. I did have to replace the fuse holder last year when I rebuilt the pump. I also had to play with the switch a few times. It worked when I put it up for the Winter, but I am just being prepared for this year. Can't expect it to go much longer without maintenance.

Hey yup that's me, we used lots of Armstrong last two years, it was really nice of Jake to put my pictures in their Ad!

But yea my deckster switch goes out all the time so I thought maybe yours was better. I have two decksters, used to use one for spraying chemical but now its just a backup. They both have original motor, frame and I think I still am on the original battery. Those gray batteries they have with it are really nice! Its just the switches I've gone through probably 7 or 8.

I don't clean mine out very good since I get lazy, but that thing still sprays no problem at all. I finally ordered a new bottom part to replace it just so its ready for the new season, but I may still keep the old one and clean it out as a backup. Definitely a well built machine.

Mine looked like that one on the left when I rebuilt it. I had been using linseed oil based sealer for years in it and started using the RS about a year before I rebuilt it. I figured it was the linseed oil sealer that gummed it up like that.

Today I am stripping a deck, Cleaning a pool deck, Maintenance cleaning of a deck and fence. Yesterday I spent the entire day bidding jobs! The season is getting started here!
