Motor is bogging down under pressure.

Ok I checked the usual suspects. Fuel filter, water filter, changed pump oil, spark plugs, pump valves and unloader. At idle it runs fine under load it wants to bogg down then will rev back to normal.

Any advice?

Same here....sounds like one of the ignition coils for sure.

Start the engine, pull one of the wires off the spark plug. If you pull one and no change in engine sound put it back on and pull the other. Motor should shut down.....I would change both to be on the safe side.

Thanks guy and guys I will try that. this motor was put in service about 9 months ago as a back up and is #4 in the gets used line. It's a 24hp honda with 109hrs.

Ok, motor did not shut down but it did make that bogged down sound and kept running.

Ron that's the first thing I checked.

plugged air filter and fouled plugs can make same symptoms.
Always remove the air filter when testing for ignition problem..
You'll be surprised how much faster you troubleshoot.

Also.. if engine has been sitting.. bad fuel can make valves sticky, and partial clogs in jets..
that will act like it's running out of fuel, no Hp, etc.
Sticky valves can cause rockers to go out of adjustment, and push-rods to be bent.
If you see the rockers out of adjustment, Always check pushRods for straight.
