Most Versatile

First off, a big fat thanks to all that contribute here and abroad. With that said now...I will be entering this industry in the spring time. At first I will try to focus on a few areas. Primarily Home & Driveway but will not limit myself to just those areas. My question is this,

What type of equipment would be capable of handling most types of applications? I am not looking for brand referral as that is opinion driven. I am looking for spec. natured responses that should be industry standard among all. ie...pressure ratio values capable for the majority of jobs, flow rates to match, horsepower to accomadate the demands of the pump ect.ect...

Basically if you could only buy one machine, what specs. would you want it to have to accomplish the most variety of jobs possible, effieciently?

Thanks in advace to all that reply.

Hi, Brian. Welcome to the board. For any cleaning application except mechanical seperation (latex rubber inside a tank) 5 to 6 gpm at 3,000 to 3,500 psi hot water will do whatever you need. A thermostat control and various nozzle sizes to increase or reduce pressure will make the machine versatile for any use. Washing houses? Leave the burner off and install a tip to net you around 2,000 psi. Washing trucks? Heat the water to 140 to 160 degrees, put a nozzle in for 3,000 psi and go at it. Concrete? A surface cleaner and 200 degree water will make life easy. Honda, Kohler, Vanguard... all these engines will give good reliable service. Now on to the burner system. I swear by a 120 volt burner and generator setup (see my post above in the library). Need to know anything else? Post your questions here or feel free to call me.
