Most Versatile

First off, a big fat thanks to all that contribute here and abroad. With that said now...I will be entering this industry in the spring time. At first I will try to focus on a few areas. Primarily Home & Driveway but will not limit myself to just those areas. My question is this,

What type of equipment would be capable of handling most types of applications? I am not looking for brand referral as that is opinion driven. I am looking for spec. natured responses that should be industry standard among all. ie...pressure ratio values capable for the majority of jobs, flow rates to match, horsepower to accomadate the demands of the pump ect.ect...

Basically if you could only buy one machine, what specs. would you want it to have to accomplish the most variety of jobs possible, effieciently?

Thanks in advace to all that reply. :)

I would suggest a minimum of 5gpm machine..............belt driven, hot water with an adjustable thermostat.........and 3000psi. A unit like that would most likely employ a 18hp engine. Make sure it has at least ten gallon gas and fuel tanks.

Machines like that weigh about 800 lbs and most people also carry some water with them. All of these things add up as far as weight is concerned, so you will need to carefully plan your truck or trailer set up to be sure it can handle the weight involved.

What kind of budget are you working with?

Mike,

Thanks for the response. Budget hmm... Well, I would like to stay under 5000.00 for a set up. I will not let that figure stop me though. I do already own a single axle trailor and a 2005 Tacoma Truck.

I am by full time trade an Airline Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor fo a US Major Airline "Work Hard Fly Right" is our motto. Not sure if the board allows branding? Any way the way my schedule works is that I always have off 4 & 5 days off in a row per shift rotations so this will be part time at first with intent to go full time when I retire in 5 years. Anyway I got sidetracked. Sorry and thanks for the reply.

Please elaborate on the tech specs that would be most compatable for a burner & pump for the type of unit you describe. Thanks.

Perhaps someone else could chime in here? Brian, you can also make a post in our distributor/vendor area............which will allow the distributors to answer your questions as well.

Is the axle on your trailer rated for 3500lbs?

What is the towing capacity of your Tacoma?
