Nick, there's not a cop (or apparently even an ex-cop) within reading distance of this who has one nut big enough to denounce what they have turned our country into. I've given up trying to find one.

If any of us were caught beating our animals forcing them to submit like this we would be jailed and on the front page of the newspaper.

Once again I present to you a former way of dealing with criminals - patience and human consideration:

I have quite a few present and past NYPD in my family. They know just how I feel, I actually got called in the early 80's along with my brother-in-law but I choose to stay in my own business. I would have made a horrible cop and I knew it, plus I was making to much money to take a civil servant job. There are good cops out there no doubt about it, but there are way more bad ones to cast a huge shadow on the ones who try to do good.

Looks like the Philly cop is getting fired. Thank God for video and the press. The victim says she doesn't want him fired, just an apology.

What would the results have been without video?

Here is a challege.. why don't some of the cop worshippers put up some links to stories where something similar has happened and the cop was fired on the word of the victim or other cops?

I won't hold my breath

Here is a challenge.

Just as expected.....no justice:

A police union is coming to the defense of the Philadelphia cop who has been targeted for dismissal after he was caught on video punching a woman in the face.

It was originally announced that Lt. Jonathan Josey would be suspended for a month pending an Internal Affairs investigation. But less than two days later, Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey said he was taking "Commissioner's Direct Action" against Josey and that the officer would be dismissed.

A video posted on YouTube shows Josey punching a woman in the face and knocking her to the ground before she is led off bloodied and handcuffed.

The Fraternal Order of Police in Philadelphia is angered with the decision and how quickly it was made.

"I think it stinks," John McNesby, president of the Fraternal Order of Police in Philadelphia, told ABC News' Philadelphia station WPVI. "It sends a bad message to the police out there on the streets."

The Fraternal Order of Police is a U.S. labor union made up of law enforcement officers.

And here's the kicker.........

Josey, 39, has had 13 complaints made against him over his career, ranging from allegations of verbal abuse to physical abuse.

If requiring accountability for one's actions "sends a bad message to the police out there on the streets" what would be a good message?

They are sick.

The tape shows at least 5 officers who witnessed the battery. Where are the "good apples" standing up and saying "THIS WAS WRONG"?

"Resistance to Tyrants is obedience to God" Thomas Jefferson

A prophecy of the militarization of the police force: “The means of defense against foreign danger historically have become the instruments of tyranny at home.” James Madison

“A great wave of oppressive tyranny isn't going to strike, but rather a slow seepage of oppressive laws and regulations from within will sink the American dream of liberty” George Baumler

“The tyrant grinds down his slaves and they don't turn against him; they crush those beneath them” Emily Bronte

“Single acts of tyranny may be ascribed to the accidental opinion of a day; but a series of oppressions, begun at a distinguished period and pursued unalterably through every change of ministers, too plainly prove a deliberate, systematic plan of reducing [a people] to slavery.” Thomas Jefferson

If this happened in a country that valued freedom this would have been the result:

This one caught me, really sad, just a kid and he wanted to be a cop. See how this plays out, probably the same as always. The police story sounds like total BS, reaching for a 'power tool'? that doesn't even make sense. In another article they quoted the witness as saying they 'asked' him to show his hands and shot him at the same time. The mother said she demands justice, well maybe not in this life, but justice will surely come.

Cops initially said that Polanco reached under the seat for what appeared to be a power tool, but later said that the circumstances of the shooting were not clear. No weapon was found.

The bartender, who was in the front passenger seat, also reportedly said that Polanco’s hands were on the steering wheel when he was shot through the open window.

“Noel didn’t have a chance to put his hands up. They screamed, ‘Put up your hands!’ and shot at the same time,” said Diane DeFerrari, 36, the bartender who was riding in the front passenger seat, according to the New York Daily News.

“They acted in pure road rage.”
