Money Well Spent

After 4 and a half years, my black trailer jack was getting VERY difficult to use despite regular applications of grease. It became tighter to twist up and down and finally started reducing the range it would go up to where I was barely was able to get the trailer off my Tahoe hitch. Visited the local trailer shop and they offered two options: replace with the cheaper black one that comes standard on most trailers for $44.95 or upgrade to the marine version for $54.95. Time to upgrade. A pair of snap ring pliers was all it took to remove the old and replace.

I can now raise the trailer up and down again with two fingers and it raises much higher than the previous one -- money well spent!!

On our trailer we have the section that you remove the pin and it will drop down then place the pin back in and crank it up, it saves a lot of time! We was thinking about getting a electric version but they are a little proud of them. Plus we hardly take the trailer off the truck.

That is what we use as well. Saves a lot of time and you never have to hunt for a block to set it on.

Glad you found a easy solution to your problem.
