Hello Everyone,
A friend of mine was telling me of this really good cleaner/degreaser called Mean Green. Has anyone heard of it? Has anyone tried it? What kind of results? Please post or email me. I would like some response before I try it out. Thanks.

I know of "Simple Green" but have not heard of Mean Green.

I heard of Mean Green, but it has been quite some time ago. I think his middle name was 'Joe'.

Richard

So you personally named a Cleaner/Degreaser "Joe"? That is ODD. Most of the time we just use the names that the chemicals came with. Did you and "Joe" have a "Special" Relationship? Maybe we shouldn't ask about that. I do not get it and actually do not want to know about it. How ODD.

Christopher, I guess you are just too young. Richards little pun was about NFL Hall of Famer "Mean" Joe Greene. Pittsburgh Steelers. 4 Superbowl wins between '75 to '80. Went right over your head, get it now?

Do you know where it is manufactured? There is a chemical company in Alton, IL that is making a chem called Green ALL. It is sold to auto detailers and works great for clean up of oil based stains and sealers. It is so user friendly that you can wash your hands with it.

Ok here is my $1.99 worth.. Mean Green Works pretty good. for a wipe down deal.. Like The Front of the hood or something
But when it comes to cleaning nothing beats Caustic Soda Flakesand Hot Water in a pump up sprayer..... AMEN

" I love the smell of caustic fumes in the Morning"

And If you Are Cleaning A burger King Or Something
4 cups of caustic x 2 gallons hot water x 1 squirt of dawn ultra.... ((((PUMP PUMP PUMP)))) SRRRRAAAAAYYYY Now Wait ........... AND rINSE
3000 psi 4GPM ( 210 dEGRESS RECOMMENDED)
and we are clean>>>>

Hey if this this caustic stuff really works, where do I get that stuff from, I'm new to this business and have a problem building that nothing seems to take of the green stuff

Hello Matt,
Yes that is the stuff. I bought a couple of 5 gallon pails and tried it on some heavy equipment and it works ok. I went ahead and bought a 55 gallon drum of it and am happy. I do not think it would work on hoods or vents. I use it on heavy equipment to degrease the motors and other parts.

If you got green stuff on a building try Oxalic Acid or Pool Bleach .. You can get pool bleach at a pool store and Oxalic acid at Homo Depot ,, Oxalic acid is found in Deck Cleaners and Brightners

Cuastic Soda is Red Devil Lye ( Drain Opener ) ( Sodium Hydroxide ) you can buy it by the 25 pd bag at your local chemical company ,,

Mean Green Reply

I run a mobile truck wash in Cedar City utah and we use a product called Mean Green. It is provided to us by a company called Auto Wash. They sell it as a touch free car and truck wash when used in conjunction with their low ph presoak called advantage. My partner and I started two stepping with their products about two months ago and we have rarely touched a brush since then. Mean green is a great product, however costic soada is the shit when it comes to mean thick grease. But sodium hydroxide is costic and it can not be used in all applications. Also our mean green is much cheaper than our costic. We cary both products and use them in their appropriot settings. Dan Giddings. C&D Mobile
