Marketing Ideas

Just some Ideas for marketing:

1.) Use craigstlist.com I get about 4-5 SOLID leads per week and I usually book them all. This is a free "classifieds: style website. I post under Services: Skilled Trade or Services: Household

http:www.craigslist.com and choose your state or city from the right hand side. You can also use the search bar on the left hand side and choose the services area. Type Power washing or pressure washing to see who is posting in your area. If you have any questions, email me I am a craigslist junkie!!

2.) Walmart sells magents in the shape of houses that say "Service you can trust" across the roof. You can get a pack of 50 for $2.86, they have peel and stick fronts, so just slap your business card on and they look great!

**This may sound dumb, but I stick them across the back tailgate on my SUV and I have a little sign that says "Take One" and people actually do take one......I live at walmart and home depot, so my god you know how many people are in those stores.

3.) Do fundraisers......We do car washes for the schools, soccer teams and so fourth. We put out our banner that says "Fundraising Car Wash Today" Sponserd by "PowerWash Pro's" we usually hook up to the water at rite aid or wallgreens, my husband runs the unit and the kids soap and dry the cars. I collect donations and hand out thank you cards, that have our coupon printed on the back. 1. This gets your name out to rite aid or werever you are having the wash, plus all the parents of the kids you are helping out, and all the customers that see you.

4.) I wear my logo shirt all the time! All of our cars have logos on them.
5.) I post on every free internet site there is!
6.) Home & Garden Shows
7.) Fairs * Festivals * Farmers Markets * Flea Markets
8.) I always leave a business card with my tip at the restaurants
9.) Put your card in free lunch drawings
10.) Local pizza places and coffee shops, printing stores will usually let you leave a stack of business cards out.
11.) Do a career day at school
12.) Volunteer your time for a charity or church - we are going to do the homeless shelter and some no kill animal shelters
13.) Sponser a pee wee soccer team or football team usually they only ask for uniforms and registration fees. $150?

NATHAN IS GONNA HATE TO LOOSE YOU !!!!!!;)

Craigslist has a guy that will wash your house and drive for $75 and another guy that will wash your roof for $89. Half the houses around here would need 40-50 bucks in Lovve to clean the roof. I get so pissed of when I see crap like this. I dont want to Hijack this thread so I will go into a tangent in another.

Dang.
I've been posting under "Services: Erotic".

I guess that explains my low call rate.
Shouldn't have included a picture....

I Run Amoung The Top Ads In 3 Different Phonebooks In Town. All Our Ads Point To Our Website. I Advertise Online Everywhere I Can (craigslist Included). Phonebooks Cost Me Over A Grand/month, But I Got 7 Honest Calls Today 5 From The Phonebooks. We Get Atleast 2-3 Calls Daily Somedays (like Today) I Get Tired Of Selling Myself Over The Phone. I Believe A Well Put Together Website Makes A Big Impression.

I gave Postcardmania a call today. I'm running out of time out soliciting and then cleaning at night. I gotta have more sleep :( I am trying to narrow my sales and be more effecient in them. Instead of driving around knocking on doors, I'm going to let the postcards to the work for me (or at least try to)

I invited Rob, the guy from Postcardmania on here. He is really helpful and I know some other hood cleaners that have used him and had great results. Hope he shows.

YOU HAVE A GREAT LOGO, WHO DESIGNED IT?

I got 4000 glossy postcards for $99 bucks at overnightprints.com

Hey Nickel, that's a great price!!

The only thing though, is I don't want to re-create the wheel. I know of 4 hood cleaners personally that have had great success with Postcardmania. They have the best mailing lists and they are marketing geniuses..(so I've heard) I'm trying to hit a specific target area that's why I'm going with them. If I was just simply getting postcards, no doubt overnightprints has some unbeatable prices and I believe you when you say that their quality is great.
