I agree with you Kory... it does add credibility. I think it helps give more tangibility to the service - rather than just words on a paper promising "professionalism, quality, customer service...".

I think regardless of commercial or residential, we need to have a handle on understanding how we are perceived... yes, at the end of the day the customer just wants the job done right - but in promotion and marketing, every detail of how we position our service business will affect our customer's perception.

I think if we are trying to sell commercial accounts based on how our services will help with their property appearance, then we need to add credibility to that selling proposition by backing it up with clean, organized equipment.

In short, I'm all for including a photo of your rig(s), staff, premises and work done on marketing materials.

I have brochures and my business cards with both my Sweeper Turck and Washer on them and I say yes it has been helpful, Just two days ago when I picked up two stores and I gave them my brochure and showed them what I'm going to be cleaning with they were impressed. The guy that is washing for them now is not using Heat and it shows and when I showed him the pics of what I'm using he gave me both sweeping and washing. So I think it pays to show them that your not using something from home depot or walmart.

My sweeper is also a Big Sweeper for the heavy dirt and not a small paper sucker that they are using from the other company and he like that I could get all the dirt up from his parking lot and not just paper.

I use a pic of my rig in 1 newspaper ad. 1/4 page color ads cost$$$$ so the rest of my ads use my business card that matches my trailer lettering.

You have very limited space to get peoples attention.

I think you should show your work at every opportunity, besides 99% of the people have no idea what they are looking at.

I use a picture on almost every form of advertising. Actually the pic in my avitar is one of them and I also use a pic on the front page of my web site.

I use it almost always, I try to keep it the same, repetitious is a very good thing.
My goal is my customer to glance at my advertisement and know its me.

That is true some people will not know what there looking at. However I have had several clients tell me that they preferred me because they saw on my flyer that I had professional equipment and not some weekender with a HD PW in the back of their truck.

If I were a nice looking, clean cut, wholesome looking guy like you Kory, my smilin face would be in MY marketing :D
People like to SEE what kind of "Monster" might be doing the work at their home.
I think you need a NICE Logo, a pic of you, and your rig, cleaned UP of course.
Maybe even your little guy in the Pic ??
My brother the air conditioning contractor is a nice looking guy like you, and has a cute kid, he gets lots of work from THIS Picture.

NOw, Larry, he needs to get his fat, old azz OUT of the picture on hiis pressure washing, or is it exterior sanitizing website ?
THINK I am kidding ??
Click on it, see for yourself ?
Hire Larry to "sanitize" your chithouse, ROTFLMAO

Your a real whoot there Chris...LOL Funny thing is, run your mouse over the sanitizing part and read what the search engines will be reading now.... Possible my fat azz will be getting alot fatter once google runs through the new site... Still hasn't crawled through it yet. I'm keeping track on it to see when it finally crawls it through the site maps. Could take a few more days or even a week I Hate The Waiting Game...Hopefully I will be doing alot more sanitizing then! LOL :)

Do you guys use a photo of your rig in your marketing? I think it will add credibility to the company when someone sees my set up. What do you guys think?

It is some of the best marketing dollars that we spend. We letter all four sides of the trailers and both sides and the backs of vehicles. We get calls off of the trailers all of the time.
