Making pressure pots

Did anyone ever find a supply of canisters for these, or should I start trying to con some of my Restaurant customers out of them.

Call Foxx at 1 800-821-2254 in KC or Denver @1-800-525-2484 and make your own as I have-get used tanks and they have the person to call along with parts book.

To start with, i've never used a pressure pot like this before, so therefore, I guess i have a stupid question.

Do they have pressure regulators on them? if not, wouldn't it be a pain in the back dealing with the initial high pressure and then dropping from there? aren't they heavy to transport?

i have been thinking of using an air compressor with a 40-60 gal tank with about 150-200 ft of 3/8 hose on each 15 gal plastic barrel and keep all the stuff in the trailer. it doesn't take that much pressure to get the liquid moving. with a pressure regulator at least you'll maintain a fairly constant pressure.

IF SOMEONE HAS ALREADY TRIED THIS AND HAS TURNED OUT TO BE A WASTE, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. or if the physics here won't let this work please let me know. i'm about two weeks from making my investment. for about $600-$700, i can get set up with about 600 ft of hose and a compressor.

thanks, roy

david,

good question!! i will only be doing deck work with this set up.. so i only want about 45-60 psi max. nothing that will require high pressure.

please keep me up to date with any info you get on this please. I just got a good deal on a nice compressor and was thinking of useing pressre pots for deck work.
do they make a pnuematic head to run a airless pump or just stick with the pressure pots.
i know some use CO2 for pressure pots.

We use 2HP small compressor and place the pot at the end of the hose and go to work. You can pump up the pot and work with the system under pressure if you like. We use this system to clean hood systems/one way to put the chemical on the grease.

steven,

i think i checked that out once. around $575 or so a piece?

i was looking for something to eliminate clean up. with each barrel set up with hose and wand, there would be nearly no clean up.

david, what kind of pressure do you use?

roy:rolleyes:

I am talking about one of those small units that you find in Sears and Home Sores and so on. I think they are rated at 100 - 125 psi. The units are $75-$100.
