Machine Troubles

This morning while starting the skid, I went through my normal routine. Pullled the hose out, pulled the choke out. Squeezed the trigger and hit the key. It started right up. Push the choke back in wait about 5 seconds and release the trigger. The engine stops. It seems that the choke is being pushed out and choking the engine.

This happend about 6 times. Then it ran fine for a half an hour. I then take the wand off to use the ball valve to rinse. I open the valve and the machine stops again. I go to the skid and the choke is pushed out.

Any ideas whould be greatly appreciated!
Thanks....

Choke should have some tension on it to stop it from vibrating out. Perhaps replace the knob. You may try wrapping the old knob in electric or duct tape just enough to not fit too loosely through its mount. Did this happen suddenly, or has it been shaking out a little here and there?

Is it a Vanguard with the ring on the end of the choke rod? If so, it's probably the retainer clip has broken. Easy fix, just got to get a new one, slip it onto the choke rod, and tighten it down.

Your the man! Yes it is a Vangard. Clip wasnt broke but wasnt as tight as it should be. A quick sqeeze of the pliers and back in business.
Thank You!

they also make a spring that goes onto the choke shaft that will eliminate that issue as well. Mine chokes itself out often but a spring fixed it
