Machine keeps quiting

My machine has been quiting during jobs. Its been happening after a couple of hrs of working. Day time hrs .....Hot out side 90 plus. The motor is a 29 Briggs.

It happens when I shut the machine off to either mover it or take 5. When I go back to work it starts and runs for about 10 secs then shuts down dead. It starts back up after about a hr or longer. The low level sensor has been pulled with no luck. It does have oil...and gas. Today i seen where the inline fuel filter site glass was showing about 1/5 fuel almost empty . I am thinking its Vapor locking some how. If so what can I do to prevent this?>
If its not any ideas what it can be?

All those mentioned and as simple as it sounds make sure the gas cap vent is open. Vapor lock is caused by your gas line or carb over heating and boiling the gasoline. Pretty rare if you haven't relocated something.

If these don't help, drink two beers and call Dr. Russ in the morning.

Having the same problem with one of my rigs, after its up and running for a minute it will stay running but you have to choke it and leave it choked for a few seconds or else it will quit

Leave the gas cap loose, sometimes the gas cap will not let air in when the gas is emptying so it will not let gas out easily. This is like what happens with my 8gpm machine so I know I need to loosen the gas cap some and things go back to normal.

Sounds like ya need to chage the filter, and flush out the fuel line. also get a new spark plug they do go bad.

Fuel, Fire, Air.

Fuel - Make Sure you have it, it is good, it is getting to the engine
Fire - Make sure you have spark - Good plugs, Not Flooded, etc
Air - Engines need air flow to run properly - the proper air/fuel ratio is important

Here are my sypmtoms:
Runs for 7 or 8 hours then start to stutter, like it is fuel starved. Put a pressure tip in and it dies instantly. Let it cool down for 20 minutes and it will run for a limited time, them die again.
What I have done. Checked the unloader and bypass to make sure I am not dead heading the pump. Oil is fine. Gas is vented. Pulled plugs to make sure I have spark and coils are not bad. Installed inline fuel pump to rule out vapor lock(had to do this on my Kohlers to keep them running with the ethonal gas). Installed to fans in box truck to assure air flow. Changed to a hotter plug. This is happening on two of my 23 horse Briggs. I am open to suggestions as well.
