Well it happened, but not bad.. I put gas in the tank of my new 13.5 hp Subaru motor .. I turned it over ,and over , and over .. it never started.. In fact it flooded .. and then one last turn and poof.. FIRE all over my new motor..So I freaked and ran inside the store and grabed the nearest extinguisher and put it out... then I notice that one of the bolts had broken on the motor that I had mounted it down with ...I guess I flooded it , gas flooded and leaked out and the loose ground wire that was on the bolt holding the motor down probably sprked and now I have a cooked subaru motor. I rigged the motor bolt back up and it finally startedand ran so I guess no permant damage but now it idles like crap.. Guess I will call about warranty info.. I have only run this motor 12 times maybe 36 hours and even when it was new it was always a pain in the butt to start

I have a subaru motor on a trash pump and it has been a pain to start since new

Hey, John, what's a full 20# Halon extingusher worth these days? I've got a full one, but I use CO2.

I have about 6 that I replaced with the new halotron.. I just took them and knocked $30.00 off the price of the new halotron.. They used to be in the 200.00 range to 300.00.... When I first started doing fire equipment in 1989 I think Halon was around 7 dollars per pound... I remember selling small halon units for about 150.00 or so..

I called a service tech with robin Subaru this morning and told him what happened.. I also told him this motor has been a pain in the butt to start since I got it... He said sounds like the carb... So he said he can send me a new motor or he would send me a new carb.. Said i would take 6 to 8 weeks .. I think it has to do with poor quality gasoline , maybe I should sue the oil companies ( Shell Oil ) Who knows , maybe they will pay me off to keep me quiet .
