low air flow blower on burner

my burner is acting up again.
The air flow seems to be very low. I have washed the coils and had only a litle soot although the nozle and electrodes were sooted up bad. I replaced the burner nozzle, cleaned everything and noticed the air flow is poor. The air bands are where they always were, about half open.
What should I look for?

110 volt or 12 volt? Any build up on the squirrel cage fan?

12 volt burners don't move a ton of air, but you may want to check the flame cone on the end of the burner. If your burner gun was caked with soot, the cone may be also. If you pull the burner gun back out, you can reach in and see if there's build up on the cone.

diesel burner troubleshooting

First thing is first..
get a 0-200psi guage on the fuel pump, and leave it there !
Also replace the bypass line with a clear nybraid line you can see through..
They tell you LOTS about the system in a second..
supply is good, or not,
filter flows fuel, or not.
fuel pump is turning up to speed, or not.
If that's all good, call a tech with more info...
a horizontal heater can have a fallen insulation head obstructing the burn-chamber.
a vertical heater could have dropped a deflector-shield off the coil-center onto the burner-head.
you could have a worn fuel nozzle, or dirty fuel-nozzle filter.
you need a tech !!! :slap: :bash: :deadhorse:

I agree if you unit is out exposed to the elements the fuel pump may be beginning to bind up on you you may try checking that. I have also had both of the above happen to my burners.
