I’m redecorating my guest room and am trying to find a practical solution for limited space. I’m particularly interested in beds that offer storage without being bulky.

I came across the idea of an ottoman small single bed, and it seems perfect because it combines a compact sleeping area with hidden storage underneath. Has anyone used one before?

Comfort-wise, it’s similar to a standard single bed, though I’d recommend adding a good mattress topper for extra coziness.

Assembly is usually straightforward. Most come with gas-lift mechanisms, so lifting the bed is easy. IKEA and Wayfair have some solid options. Maintenance is simple: just wipe the upholstery and check the lift mechanism every few months.
