First, I disagree with you on Howard. I think that he is a horses posterior. I don't like it when he is so tight with the CWG and wants to know who my customers are, and asks me.

On Lonny, it isinteresting to note a couple of things. First, that he did not have to pay for the franchise, he just had to buy the trailer. I am sure that he has to pay the royalties though. Second, That even in Lance's Puff piece, he notes that the Linex franchise is still the main source of income. Finally third, Lance did not make him paint his pickup that ugly shade of Yellow.

Of course, I am not real fond of the CWG and Lance, so I could be biased.

Like it or not Lance knows how to market his business. I never had any dealings with him and I only know the stories etc. but that aside he gets high marks for marketing. This is an area which I will give great thought about over the slow winter months ahead.

Along with excellent quality of work MARKETING is key. Some say that Lance is a ripoff artist etc. and has no quality of work but with his marketing sense he seems to still make the large(bucks)

How much larger would he be if he had a good reputation?

The lesson I'm learning about guys like him is MARKET MARKET MARKET your business. Just food for thought.

I will tell a little story about my experience with lance winslow. Scott calls me up and says Ron you wanna meet lance. I say sure where is he? Scott says he’s at the Hilton off alma & HWY 60. I rush over to see this huge yellow and blue truck. I hear the generator running so I think hey knock on the door. I hit the door a couple times and nothing. Finally he answer and I introduce myself, boom!!!!!!!!! The door slams. I look back at one of my salesmen in the truck and he laughs. so that’s the famous lance, I say that’s him. now I know first hand he is a piece of work.

Mean while Scott knew that this was going to happen. Didn’t yah Scott???????

Would I do that to you. If I had thought about it I would have parked in the parking lot across the street bought some popcorn and enjoyed the show. I still think that you should have had your salesman knock on the door and ask him if he wanted someone to wash his truck. A nice acid wash on the stainless would have been real good.

Last time I commented about Lance I started getting mysterious emails, some even threatening...very veiled. Having said that, I am going to comment on the marketing comment. There is a difference between a professional marketer who understands the concepts and can put them to use in practice, and a ................(clearing throat and containing herself)........AHEM.........high pressure salesman who has no apparent business ethic.

His marketing is not worthy of praise, nor are his practices, and any man who would threaten a woman for speaking her mind is a bully, and ......AHEM.....

I agree with John/Clean County. The guy certainly knows how to market a business. I've been reading the interloccution section for entertainment for quite some time now, and I was concerned at first about the "competition" section of his site. But after checking with a couple of the old pro's here, there is probably nothing really to worry about. (All hype)

The new site carwashguyssuck.com is catching on and seems to be getting under the skin of Lance. His own franchising site is now a negative advertisment for carwashguys, and for two days now i have not been able to pull up carwashguys.com.

I've wondered too what would happen if these techniques were used for good and not evil?

I'll shut up now.
