I got a job to clean lime stone and I need to use a boom lift. What type of chemicals can I use to clean it and do you know of any rental companies in Chicago area.
What should I charge to clean lime stone 12 x 4ft and there are 12 ledges.

Thanks,

Better plan on cleaning all those windows too, no matter how soft you soft wash limestone there will be some sandy debris coming off that's a little tedious to cleanup.

Looks like cast limestone and you can try some stuff from eachem. It depends on if it still has the sealer on it or not. A lot of times during post construction cleanup some of these clean up crews use muratic on them which strips the sealer off. If that's the case, pretty much only low pressure (1200-1800 psi) and hot water and wanding the entire thing by hand is the only thing that will work

I would have no idea, and only you would know what you can charge. Not to sound down on you, but in less you are a very very seasoned vet and have tons of experience in this, you can lose your shirt....as in this is the kind of job that can make you a lot of money or put you out of business. I can't see how tall the building is but unless your willing to flush $10,000 down the drain, I would walk. You'll have at least a weeks worth of paying your guys, at least a weeks worth of lift rental if not 2 weeks, several thousand dollars in chemicals, and if they are not happy, the best that will happen is they won't pay you....the worst that can happen is they sue you for damaging the limestone and you could be forced to replace it all. Not trying to scare you at all, just giving you a heads up so you don't go in blindly. This isn't just a simple housewashing or building washing but more of a restoration project.

Nobody can tell you what you should charge. You will have to figure the correct method of cleaning without scarring it up. then all your labor and time. Yours and everybody else's aint the same

Ok, in regards to cleaning or measurement, a story is approx 10 ft per story, no matter how many floors it has. That building is at least 40 ft tall I would just eye ball estimate. If that were the case, these massive churches and theaters would only be one story buildings, because they are an open space. Their may be only 2 floors, but it's at least a 4 story building. HUGE difference in quoting work.
