Letter to Church's

Does anyone have a letter that they might have sent to a Church on washing their building. I went out and took pics of Church's in the area that are covered in Black mold. I would like to send them a letter with the pics and a proposal. Any help would be so great.

Thanks,
Bryan

Hey Bryan instead of a letter try and setup a time with them to demonstate your services. Meeting them face to face and giving them a demo is the best approach in my opinion. People like simple things a letter may never get read. If you want to send them something do just a few sentences and some pictures. It's the 3 second rule. If you can't catch there attention in 3 seconds you probably won't get it at all.

The four here are owned by a corporation in another state. I couldn't get their coil cleaning business even after I showed them this coil:

AND this one:

<a href="http://s468.photobucket.com/albums/rr46/sonitx/?action=view&current=IMG_0752.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i468.photobucket.com/albums/rr46/sonitx/IMG_0752.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

I pulled out this filter and still couldn't get their filter business:

<a href="http://s468.photobucket.com/albums/rr46/sonitx/?action=view&current=IMG_0722.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i468.photobucket.com/albums/rr46/sonitx/IMG_0722.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

I couldn't sell them on the benefits of cleaning up their units even when I showed them pictures like this:

<a href="http://s468.photobucket.com/albums/rr46/sonitx/?action=view&current=IMG_0746.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i468.photobucket.com/albums/rr46/sonitx/IMG_0746.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

But I suck at sales anyway.

Those are pretty dirty coils that are probably maintained by union members, you know how those people are. hahahahaha

+1 Churches are generally very welcoming. Find out who is in charge and then go ask for him or her. I would then ask if I could give them a demo on the spot and later a free proposal to finish the job.
Good luck!

Trevor has the right idea. Door knocking and pointing out what's there is the best way I feel. Many times this stuff accumulates over many years and people don't really notice it.

That is a very good point Rick. I think that there might be a scientific name to it but over time people kind of get used to something getting dirty or might not even see it happening but to someone that sees this stuff like we do, we spot it from far away.

It is kind of like when I first started pressure washing, I would start to notice dirty concrete all over the place just about everywhere I look. The same thing happened when I started cleaning roofs, everywhere I look I see dirty roofs.

Sometimes people just are not aware of how dirty their place is until it is pointed out to them, sometimes it is embarrasing to them where others are just appalled.

Yeah. Every where i go im scouting out the sidewalks, parking lots, and buildings not even realizing it. Ive had an old lady hugging my neck and about to cry after i cleaned her driveway cause she had no idea how dirty it was. I got 3 house washes and 4 driveways off that street cause they saw the difference and noticed theres. Ive landed 2 churches recently by talking to memebers i knew who went there. They put in good words cause i do their houses and driveways.

Next time you are doing a job, video the cleaning part and make that into a short video so you can give them a dvd or flash drive so they can take a look when they have time.
