Has anyone tried the new seal kit from Landa? It comes with a diffent design for the brass and seals. It sells for about $125. for my pump. The Landa dealer said it is going to last 6 times longer than what is in my pump now. LS3540G -- 4000psi 3.5 gpm

The Landa dealer in fl. I just starting dealing with said Landa had a design flaw on seals. He had so many pw returns on the seals that landa ran out of them.

Supposedly those new packinjgs have been run 24hours with no water and then worked fine.
Also very soon you wont able to get the old packings. Just the new ones.

Well I am going to order them, I will let you know how they are.

I hear they are more expensive than the old ones is this true?

The old ones were about $35 to 40. I am not sure on the new ones but I will find out. The $125 comes with the new brass and a diffent shape seals

Cool, thanks

I am picking them up Thursday for Cleaning Sidewalks Friday. I am sure they will be good for awhile get back to you about 3 to 4weeks. I will check my psi rating to see if they droped.

Good info, keep us informed on how well those seals work out for you.

The seals are diffent and very hard to put in. Compared to the others. I had to use a tip of a screw driver to work it around to get it in. If you buy it, make sure you bring the brass pump so the Landa mech. can show you in what order the gaskets go in.
The packing cost about the same as before.

So far so good. My machine is running great. I change to a diffent unloader.
Also running a open gun on the surface cleaner. (I got this off a diffent thread). My surface cleaner is much louder now and I can walk fast now. I change my tips on the surface cleaner from 2.5 t 2.0 .
It is like a new pressure washer.

what are the new seals made of?

Still keeping great pressure havent loss any psi. diffent design along with the brass. My unloader has a by-pass.

Not sure what they are made of. They are the same color as the old ones. If that helps

Just out of curiosoty, why are you having to rebuild pums. Did you run them with out water? I have some that have over 4000 hours. I have yet to have to rebuild a pump or replace packings.

so how are the seals doing now? where did you get them from. my landa dealer down here said there wasnt anything diff. about them.

My pump is LS 3540G now perhaps it is not needed on your pump packing. You can google the web and call him. He is in Jacksonville fl Landa dealer. They just came out with it in Dec I was told you wont be able to buy the old packing kit much longer.
My pump runs at 4000 psi but I turned it down to 3400. It is saying right there still good.
