Ladder Racks?

This is an old pic but the only one on this computer. I am looking to put a ladder rack on it.
I am running into a few problems.
1. The top is right at 9' tall. I am 5'10"
2. Once I do get the ladder up there how would I secure it if I can't reach the top?

I have seen some vans running around with hooks on the side of the van to hold a ladder. I don't really want to go that route.

Any ideas? It is a 2005 if that makes a difference.

The guy I use to sub out my window washing to has a nice ladder. They look like 4' sections that attach to each other. He can get up about 15-20' with all 4 sections attached. Only thing is they run about $200 for each 4' section. It would beat having to secure a long ladder everytime on a truck. I want to say the brand name of the ladder is Alacora or something similar to that.

Alcoa and Metallic Ladder Company both make sectional ladders. Pretty neat for window washing, because of the V groove at the top - you can safely rest them against commercial style window frames.

Not sure if it would be my choice for a pressure washing contractor though. I would much rather access a roof from a extension ladder then a sectional due to the width of the extension ladder.

They are great space savers though. Here's a link.
