Labor Day. The unions started Labor Day and the first parade was in 1882. To me Labor Day is a day for every hard working man & women. From the guys and girls that work in the local restaurants, shops & stores, those digging ditches, those working for themselves struggling to stay ahead or employing others or those that work for others every day. The mothers that stay home and raise our children, the teaches and the young men and women going to college and working part time to help pay for their schooling, the doctors, those who risk their lives for us in the military and police & fire.
Labor Day is for anyone and everyone that works hard to survive in this crazy world. Those that are trying to support their families that are working to better themselves. Life is easier for some and harder for many these days but if you work hard, you can survive and flourish in this crazy world. The key is you have to work hard and labor hard at whatever you are doing. This is a great country and we all make it a better country when we wake up and go to work
