Don't know how this effects all the other legitimate gun owners. I also don't know how a restraining order would apply unless it was in conjunction with a felony.
 
Here's a fact that seems to go right over the heads of most people:

IF you are a free citizen in this United States of America YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS.

It's really simple.

It doesn't matter if you are a wife beater, a serial killer, or nutty as a fruitcake. IF you are a citizen and are not INCARCERATED OR IN A MENTAL INSTITUTION you have the God given right to protect yourself.

So how do you keep guns out of the hands of people like serial killers, wife beaters or nuts? Really simple, use the due process of the law and LOCK them up.

Better yet, take the worst of them and EXECUTE THEM.

If you are like me and realize the corruption involved in the police and judicial systems, there is an answer for that too: EXECUTE ANY official who abuses their position or corrupts justice in the prosecution of a capital crime. That would sure change some things now wouldn't it. There wouldn't be so many punk a$$ prosecutors hiding exculpatory evidence if they knew their butts would be fried if they got caught.

The entire judicial system would change for the better.

Make the police LEARN THE LAW before they are allowed to arrest anyone. If the law is so complicated that they have to arrest people first then "let the judge sort it out" then the law needs to be simplified. DO IT!!!!!

In reality there are few "crimes" that actually do harm to others. God was able to list them in a few chapters. Why does it take us over 100,000 different regulations to provide justice???????

Simplify the laws.
Make the enforcers learn them and live by them.
Make the judiciary responsible for their actions.
Lock up those who need to be locked up.
Exterminate those who need to be exterminated.
Leave the rest of us who respect the lives and property of others alone.

How could it be any simpler than that?
 
I just got thru taking the class and applying for my handgun carry permit for the state of TN. Times are changing the folks are getting crazier. Have never really felt the need to carry a gun yet BUT I wanted to make sure I didn't ever feel that way and not be able to legally carry one.

I think if they would quit worrying about cruel and inhumane punishment and just punish the heck out if criminals, it would stop a lot of crime! If you kill someone, then you get killed the same way! If you rape someone, then you get raped! If you steal, chop off a hand! Etc etc. In no time crime would be at the lowest rate in years!!! Prisons need to be tougher also and if you receive welfare or other assistance from the government and you are not physically handicapped, you should have to perform some kind of work for it!!

Well one LEGAL gun owner had 2 of his guns taken because his wife had undergone mental health treatment.
 
I believe the Mental health assessment is infringing on the 2nd amendment. I think its absurd that men and women in the military come home from over seas and come back with Post traumatic Stress disorder and are discharged from their duties yet a Police officer can kill a person one day, have paid leave for one day and is back in the field after one day!? How is this just? Why do we not test the officers for mental illness? It sure would of helped here http://www.reviewjournal.com/news/crime-courts/police-officer-kills-wife-son-himself-boulder-city and Im sure in many other instances.

God gave you the right to defend yourself and your family. The founding fathers even made law, the bill of rights, to keep the government from infringing on that right.

Any officer enforcing a violation of that right it a traitor to his country.
