Killed a Delavan yesterday

due to over work and excessive laziness on my part , I regret to inform you that I have successfully killed another Delavan yesterday , they last a lot longer whebn you rinse them out I guess but that one lasted 8 months of heavy use and thousands of gallons of love ,just think what it would have done with some TLC

A very small price to pay for the work it does.

I did get 2 years out of a Flojet before getting another one but that was only 1.6 gpm and I did rinse it out all the time after each job or at the end of the day but, not with the workload you probably give them.

Roof Cleaning pumps are like mechanics tools.
Cheap tools work for an occasional job, but Snap On and SK tools are the better choice for an everyday mechanic.
We see the Delavan as a good starter pump for the occasional roof cleaner.
My experience has taught me electric pumps do not hold up for everyday, multiple roof cleaning use.
But they are certainly a bargain.
Mallard Systems built the largest roof cleaning company in the world around Shurflo's.
When they died, they simply chucked em, and put another into service.
