I am just looking for some feedback on Karchers industrial 3555 pressure washers. They put about 5.5 gpm and 3200psi out which uses a 20 hp honda . They say that the machine can do some steam as well which would be handy in my area . There is another machine that puts out about 5.2gpm same pressure with a 16hp honda . Any feedback on these machines would be great . Do they hold up ? The cost is about 10k and there is a 1000 dollar difference between the two. Has anyone ever bought one??

What I have seen is...
for the most part most pressure washers are all like paint - similar base - just a different color. We used to sell pressure washers through our distribution network but gave it up this year simply because the profit just did not justify the time we had to spend with warranty/troubleshooting claims.
In answer to your question - both sound like good units. The Honda is a plus a Kohler would be better. When shopping I would look for the following:
General Pump
Flow Unloader
Pressure Gauge
20 AMP Recharging (minimum) - 25 AMP preferred
Beckett - Large Frame Burner
Safety Coil "Blow-off" Valve
Either of these systems can be pruchased over the net for $4,000.00 to $5,000.00.
But if you insist on spending that amount of money and want "top shelf" - go here...

Its been along time since i have owned one, The repairs are usally difficult and expensive. They did perform well. Its just easiar to own something that parts are readally availiable.
