This is a picture I took in downtown Tempe,Az less then 200 yards from city hall. The person operating the pressure washer is a city employee. Is there anyone besides me that notices something wrong with the picture?IMAG0210.jpg

You were driving down the street at 50 while trying to take the picture? It helps if you stop the truck, take the picture and then drive off lol. I do see a storm drain though where the guy is washing.

nope, he wasn't cleaning the way I would clean. I don't think that I ever saw the tip of the wand get within two feet of the surface that he was cleaning. One of the best parts was what wasn't seen in the picture. They had a guy sitting in the truck pulling forward as the guy was washing. It must have been their method. There was a truck across the street doing the exact same thing.

Maybe he should be cleaning the circle K's around town *(hint on a lead)........:groucho:

They would probably pay him what he is worth, too.

I find it funny around here when you see 3 guys in 1 pressure washing truck with 1 machine on it. 1 guy works and the other 2 watch. The only thing I can figure out is that 1 is the security guard and the other is a mechanic in case something breaks. Either that or they are all former Cal-Trans employees.

Are they paying that much? I don't think so, but a little birdie told me some people are very unhappy......:shakehead:

Looks like they might of received their training with those guys that Clean Shelters, at the bus stops around town...

Better be nice... The current contractor just lost the contract.

I am betting this is a really funny joke if I knew what Cal Trans was

Caltrans is the highway department for California. They are notorious for not getting things done. For instance the I-5 I-805 merge in SanDiego has been under construction for at least 11 years, that I know of. It is probably longer.
As for the RFP, I doubt it. The letter of intent has already been issued and they are waiting for council approval...patiently waiting.

Noone gonna tell me? I feel sad inside

Sorry Nick, I didn't see your question earlier about pertaining to Caltrans. Don't want you to think us Californians are stuck up or anything.

I think the guy watched the move in The Ring! Perhaps he should up his life insurance! (for any law enforcement agencies: this is not a threat! It is a reference to a lame cult classic movie!)
