Just another day Powerwashing Tunnels in NY

At $8.00+ per vehicle X 100,000+ vehicles per day. Seems like it should be paved with gold.

You missed the guy sitting in the passenger seat...ahh, unions. That is a great concept. Does it have water recovery?

That truck is a cool idea, what tunnel are they cleaning?

Holland tunnel, or one of the other tunnels from Jersey to NYC.

Of Course.....There is also guy on the back sitting on the bumper making sure the brushes are working...and his supervisor is next to him. In the Vacumn Truck....there is a Driver, a Passenger, a Vacumn Operator and of the course the guy who supervisors all of them as well as the guy who fuels the vehicles.

That picture brings me back to my days of installing guardrail here on the freeways of Southern California. We worked mostly at night and when traffic was at a dead stop because of our lane closure we would pretend we were actually Caltrans employees, we were actually subs for the state (4 guys standing around drinking coffee watching 1 guy work).

We just couldn't understand why people would cuss us out and throw things at us. We would just sit back, smile and wave at them :wave2:

That might be one of the coolest photos.
