Man ya gotta love family, twice this week I have had jobs scheduled and then I get the phone for cancellation because the son is going to come over and do it. All I could do is say thanks for the opportunity I hope you call me again in the future, but that's not what I wanted to say. One of em the guy was trying to sell his house and the realtor said he needed to have the work done. Why would you not have it done right when the sale of your $200 grand house is at stake?

Because they think its real simple

I would make sure when im giving an estimate to describe the scope of work your doing

Advise them of your method-
"how your softwashing the exterior with a biodegradable eco friendly sanitizing agent for a deep cleaning effect to rid your house of all that green algae and moss"

'that if done incorrectly you can cause damage to the siding"

stuff like that

Make them impressed with your process so they wont even consider their loser son

I agree with Mike! Stress the process and professionalism. If they don't have pro doing it, it WILL be a lot harder and lots more things can potentially go wrong.
