Our days are numbered. Many systems have been tried that limit the amount of grease that gets in to an exhaust system. It looks like this one actually works. They say they can cut quarterly cleanings down to once a year.

I looked at the video and there will be some serious cleaning involved with those things. What happens is the pores of the filter are so small that the grease fills them and makes it so that the grease cannot get air and ignite. In order for it to continue in operation, you are going to need to clean them constantly so that the fan in the duct can suck up the grease and fumes. Interesting concept, but I am not seeing the low service aspect of it.

They will change the filter more often than they would clean the metal one. witch means higher cost in changing but they feel reducing the risk.

I read the literature, reducing mutiple liabilitys.

Everyone knows its not going to eliminate the cleanings. Reduce only if they change they properly and timly.

The close Grease systems is what i would like to hear your opinion on. I have notice they are working and i have heard propriortors say they are saying money and its cleaner and safer.
 
A set of these lasted one day at one of my customers.
I don't think anyone needs to worry about them at this point.
