Well, it came time. Scarlet had 186,000 miles on her, and the last time I towed my travel trailer the AC went out both on the way to San Diego, and the way home. You haven't lived until you have traveled across the desert between Yuma and Phoenix without AC in the middle of the summer. It was a long hot drive. So, I decided that I would buy a new truck. I really only need it to tow a small pressure washing trailer, for those times that I just feel the need to spray. So, if it is working, it will tow my small trailer with the Landa and 200 gallon tank. It also needs to tow my travel trailer, which is a little larger, okay, a lot larger, but it only goes out a couple of times a year. *Tongue is seriously placed in cheek* Lesser contractors would feel the need to purchase a 3/4 ton diesel truck so that they could get the diesel roar, and smoke. They may even claim to take them to the shop so that they will develop more power, because stock is never good enough. I have had diesel trucks in the past, and wanted a little bit of a change. Besides, this one is a heck of a lot more fun... So, I sold Scarlet, with her high miles, and everything but the AC being perfect, I sold my Flex, because my wife said if I was buying this truck, that I could no longer have two daily drivers, (Women can be so unreasonable) and I bought this. By the way, there are customization plans for it, but that is for a thread down the road, if I decide to post it at all.
In all honesty, it is a ton of fun, and meets my current needs. If, in the future, I need a heavier truck for pulling, I have a few in the yard to choose from, so I am really not worried about towing power. I just thought I would share.
