I thought Delco was Hinderliters
That would be Delux.

Hinderliter's company was Delco of Fort Worth because they were Delco distributors. After Delco went defunct, they just kept the name. Cheaper than getting all new letterheads printed...
My company has always been Southside. My Dad named his company AABCO. He wanted to be first in the yellow pages. Of course, in 1977, he was the only one in the yellow pages.
I sold Delco's in Miami from 1990 - 1994. They were a cheaper brand that we sold along side our Karcher's and Simpsons. Simpsons were sold through paint houses and had a great reputation. Delco and Simpson got bought out by KEW sometime in the 1990's and (in my opinion) in one of the dumbest marketing move in the history of our industry, they dumped the Delco and Simpson names and called them Alto's. I guess who ever did that left the company some time afterwards and they reverted to using the old names.
