Is this guy better than Rusty?

I sent them a note regarding location-It could be Rusty or Rusty #2.

What happen to his followers?

Doesn't look like they did much research before offering that manual. It actually stated that no instructional material is available
 
If someone wants to go to his school or any other, more power to them. However, if the content of this learning center teaches & relates content that can be taken in a way that puts the industry in more favorable financial light. A example would be his standard single man model and what their potential would be. This industry should not be looked at as if it can be serviced with one man.

His one package program is a good idea-however most of the item are way over priced-but the package is in one box and that has merit.

At least they provide a list of proper equipment, in contrast to the inadequate and some dangerous equipment (i.e. the dangerous 'bug' or 'deck' sprayers for chemical application; 'steam' for cleaning even though steam is a contaminant and absolutely prohibited; etc, etc) recommended by the 'Rusty' school of thought.

I am not clear as to what you mean by saying "steam is a contaminant". Please explain-Thanks

Steam will 'spread' or 'contaminate' everything with which it comes in contact - I'll develop further when return from vacation. Anyone who has experience in this realm plz share your info.
 
B/T/W, the pump-up deck sprayers are really not designed for the heavy-duty application of hot caustics used by hood cleaners. Twice I have seen them explode, and several times I have seen unintended 'squirts'. Once I walked within approx 20 feet of a pressurized bug sprayer when it squirted one drop which hit my eye. I spent all night in the hospital irrigating my eye to save my eyesight. If this were to happen to a 'student' of one of these schools which teach the use of this dangerous mode, and harm were to result, the chance of a lawsuit would be enormous. Long ago we abandoned the bug sprayers for diaphram pumps.
 
Richard, I recommend using the soda pop cans. I tried the shur-flow pump and did not like them. I will be working out of my Ford Van this week, but will have a soda pop can with me if you can catch up w/me. Say, you don't know anything about some one skulking about my shop trying to steal my trade secrets do you? That could be dangerous, I have certified attack squirrels on duty.

I tried the soda can thing recently and after a month a hole opened up on the bottom of mine. This is where it came from http://www.pdsweb.net/prices.html
I never had more than 70 lbs. of pressure in it. I would also think that this method would present the same safety issues as a pump sprayer.

You can use any soda canister-I know of a company that sells used ones. My managers like useing the down line injectors along with the canisters. They are the same type that your link offers.

Bryan, the only time I need to retire one of mine is when the rubber falls off of the bottom. I always look at the interior before converting one to use as a sprayer. I've never found any rust jor corrosion, but that would be cause to not use it. I did have a hose come off the first one I made. Luckily, the can was outside of my van and pointed away from me. I immediatly put a hose clamp on the hose.

I run about 100 psi. The pop-off is set for about 125 to 150 psi


Why pay $200.00 when you can make one in 15 minutes and $9.55 in parts + the can?

I could not locate a soda-pop can, but did try a can per the info you provided. It works great! Definitely better than the diaphram pump in that it can more easily be carried from roof to hood area. I would like to see your set-up, but you are hard to reach since you are surrounded by a wall of forest fire on every side and we are forced to use alternate route.

I don't know anything about someone skulking around your premises. Couldn't be me. If I happened to be at the post office and just happened to see your white van 5 or 6 houses south, parked alongside just in front of your shop, with hundreds of extinguishers waiting to be serviced, I certainly would not approach - especially with all those attack squirrels about. Nope - not me. My hands are clean.

Where do you get the used cans? What do you use for the spray nozzle? I got a spray nozzle from envirospec, it seems like it will work ok, but like I said I only used this set up for a month and my can got a hole in it. I think I paid $120 for the can, maybe it's not the same can as the soda canister. I will try contacting one of the soda distributors and see if they can help.
 
Richard, sorry about the fires, a couple of my certified attack squirrels got out of hand defending the hundreds of fire extinguishers. the Gov invoked the Conflagration Act for the fire at Cascade Locks. Portland Fire Beureau responded via the Washington State Hiway to get to Cascade Locks, as the freeway was closed.

Next trip, call before and maybe we can meet.
