The BB has really slow, anyone else having this problem?
 
yes it seems very slow today.
 
Mike, I think it has to do with the servers you are on. Whoever is hosting your website is what the problem is. There should be no peak time slow downs on a site of this size. This has undoubtedly been the slowest forum out here. Changing your host or server would probably correct the problem.

Just a thought!
 
the board loading speed has really been slow the last couple of days.

Mike what speed is the host promising you? and what are you getting? This board has the best membership and many are starting to participate on other boards more regularly now, with less and less participation here.
Lets save a sinking ship!

I was thinking the same thing, but not wanting to come out and say it...I can miss coming here for a week or so, and it doesn't take long to browse through the new posts...This board has always seemed to have the most activity, and has always lacked the personality conflicts and abuse of mod power you see on some other boards. I'd sure hate to see this board stop being active, and hadn't thought about the slowness possibly being a factor.
 
grant i think you are right...but time =money and it must cost a few $$s to move to a new server....like mark says i always come here but it is dropping off and i for one would hate to see it go.

Remember guys i gave mike the BBS and its free...... sometimes free stuff doesnt work like sites that pay.

the BBS is on my server... if Mike chooses to move it thats up to him.

it can run free here for 20 years after i'm dead. we can try to make it faster but i think room is the question. PWI gets more traffic and more posts than the others.

I have cable and see no problems. i realize that dialup service is having issues.

Mike if i can help with the problem please let me know.

I have a cable modem and even with that this site is very slow.
Mike is doing a great job as an administrator here but something has to be done with this site to pick up speed. As of the last Month or maybe even longer this site has the least amount of activity by far then the other 4 Powerwashing bb's I go to.

This bb had a great following but people are disappearing fast and it could take time to get them back if you can even get them back at all if this problem goes on longer.

Just my opinion but I call them like I see em.
