Insurance

2 Kings 6:13_17
And the report came back: “Elisha is at Dothan.” 14 So one night the king of Aram sent a great army with many chariots and horses to surround the city. 15 When the servant of the man of God got up early the next morning and went outside, there were troops, horses, and chariots everywhere. “Oh, sir what will we do now?” the young man cried to Elisha. 16 “Don’t be afraid!” Elisha told him. “For there are more on our side than on theirs!” 17 Then Elisha prayed, “O Lord, open his eyes and let him see!” The Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire.

That was great Tony, Thanks!

Tony....oh never mind....lol

Scott, you needed proof...... well, there it is in living color! :moil:

I hope you guys know I'm just kidding around about the picture.

However there's no doubt in my mind that my life has been carefully watched over. There have been at least 4 times when my death should have been imminent. Yet I was saved for something.

Isn't that ironic- I'm one of those people who are ready to go at any time and to be honest I believe that should I die God would provide not only for Shelly and Fayth financially, but would provide them an even better leader for the family than I. - Yet the Lord chooses to keep me here.

Maybe I was saved for minionship.

I know youre kidding. But I also knew you'd get a kick out of that. lol.

Lets do a test and everyone drop their ins for one month to see if accidents occur then. Thats the only time they seem to happen right because at the end of every news clip on a construction accident they add the contractor did not have insurance lol.

Nobody would need insurance if we got rid of all the lawyers or capped all claims to a maximum of 10x the annual salary of the person killed or injured.

We've paid cash for most health services since 1998. We don't carry any insurance we aren't required to by law or by our customers/lenders (in the case of the house)

Do you guys know how much Dr's have to pay for malpractice insurance? All because of lawyers and people who think an accident means they've won the lottery.

Sure do. I have a few friends who are in the medical field as Chiros and surgical docs. they pay more than most on here gross lol. When I pop in to see them they want me to call them Doctor so n so...

:big_boss::haha: rightttttttt lol

tis editorial rant brought to you by Sonitex, and Tony Shelton. Besides, there are a few lawyers that have value. Not many, but a few.

What do you think about limiting damages to 10X the average of the prior 5 years wages/net?

For example, a doctor messes up and leaves a sponge in a patient and the patient dies.

If it's never happened before it was simply an accident and the DR. gets a warning.

If it's happened before the DR gets a year suspension.

Three times and he's banned from ever practicing medicine again.

Meanwhile the average take home pay (over the past 5 years) of the guy who died was, say, $50k per year. That's what he and his family lived on.

The Dr's insurance company has to pay for all his funeral expenses then hands over a tax free check to the wife for $500k. That gives her 10 years of living expenses and plenty of time to mourn and move on.

What in the world is wrong with that? It's simple and doesn't involve any scumbag lawyers.

I have to think about what to say, because I want to make sure that your blood pressure medicine is working properly.

Caps are needed because they force good MD's to pack up and move to states that have them. Based on income would never work. How about a 30 year old mom that has never worked out of the home but has been raising 4 kids? You ever stay home with 4 kids under 10? Or a 22 yr old college student? How do you base that income?

They are pretty slack on punishing repeated issues of malpractice.

You're being disrespectful to scumbags associating them with lawyers.
