I'm Having Trouble Clinging To My Guns!

As usual I attended our local gunshow that is billed as the "largest east of the Mississippi" the Indy 1500. Absolute chaos! At noon after it had been open 3 hours there was still a 30 -40 minute wait in a 34 degree rain to just get in. Then so many people inside I had to pass up some isles. I made my way to a couple of vendors I buy from got my stuff and got out. Ammo I was buying for $110 per K now is $300 per K. A ton of folks you'd never see at gunshows pushing baby strollers and gals that look like they were shopping at a pricey fashion mall.

I don't know why they are worried. Obama repeatly told everyone he is a strong supporter of the 2nd ammendment. The rest is just lies from the NRA right? He didn't really support all those screwball anti-gun laws in Illinois did he?

There was rumor that a lot of those attending would be clinging to their religion tomorrow. Shame.

Obamanation coming to a venue near you!

I agree but it will never happen. There are many tree hugging, weak spine, pansies out there.

People are so scared of hurting someones feelings, you don't really think they would shoot to save them or their families.

My great uncle Louis Watts was mayor when the peanut gellery was governer, passed a law that every home have a weapon at all times, CRIME DROPPPED !!!!! Odd Huh? No $#it look it up. ;)
 
We had our big year end Gun Show here in Phoenix 3rd weekend in December. Record attendance. A friend of mine had a table (2 actually, 8' long tables). Did just over $100,000 in ammo and scope sales on Friday, day 1. Sold out early Saturday morning.

I personally invested in about a dozen AR 15's within the last year, and 20,000+ rounds of ammo. The AR 15's that I paid $800 for 6 months ago now go for $1500.00, and Obama isn't even in the White House yet. Ammo is up 30% and is sold out almost everywhere.
 
Makes me think of the western movies where they would have it out in the streets. Now you need to get the quick-draw guns and holsters. hahaha

I think it was a city in Colorado that had the lowest crime rates but people had guns on them out in the open.

I think that would be a solution.

Obama HATES guns and the people who own them. He was taped referring to gun owners and people who vote based on religous principles as "Bitter-Haters."
He voted for a 400% tax on ammunition
Biden was the author of the assault wepons ban in 1992
His chief of Staff Emanuel is a vocal anti-gun supporter.
Where are the "Obama is good people" in this arguement?

We should just all play it safe like my friend does: stick with nunchucks!! LMAO...My family has enough guns to be our own little militia if needed.

It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year results are now in:
Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent
Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent
Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!
In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns!
It will never happen here? I bet the Aussies said that too!
While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.
There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.



You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.
Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely a affect only the law-abiding citizens.
Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late!
The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind him of this history lesson.
