I see commercial Pressure washing Advice being given Elsewhere and I Just

I agree, there are some companies out there and even some vendors that are giving out very bad advice.

I just saw a fleet washing video on youtube where they are calling their wash a 2-step but are doing a piss-poor job on everything they do and are using very, very hot water and in the end, the truck looks like crap!

These guys are painters calling themselves pressure washers and are attempting to wash a truck with chemicals they know nothing about and the chemicals are also crap by the looks of the results. I guess people will promote anything as professional work but I am sure in the eye of the customer that sees this shoddy work are probably thinking that maybe a lot of other companies out there do the same crappy work but don't realize that these are not professional cleaners, just painters trying to do everything out there.

Forget about what everyone else is doing and saying and you will eliminate alot of unneeded stress.

I use to care what my so called "competitors" were doing, bottom line is if I focus on my companies and what we do, how we perform, how my employees represent themselves, everything else will fall into place.

I know we can not clean EVERYTHING, the market is to big for that. I can focus on the business I want to go after and make it happen.

I wasted too much time in the past concerned about what Joe Shmow Pressure Washing was charging for a house wash.

Just my 2 cents.

That's right, Ron has no competitors, and neither do I. We are in totally different specialties. I would have a hard time doing what Ron does, and he would have a hard time doing what I do. It works, and allows us to co exist peacefully.

I think either one of could we just don't. Not because we are friends , because we both like what we are doing and don't care much for the other type of work. I do think you could enter my market much easier than me getting into yours.

Yes neither one if us have competitors

I know there are lots of was to do things, some are better than others but not always wrong. However I completely agree that when the totaly wrong hack info is given out it needs to be dispelled immediately to prevent us from looking like hacks as an industry.

So how do we as a group help get the correct information out there Ron?

The best I have heard from a customer who has gotten advice from a "construction nephew", "he said that the black streaks on the roof are from the snow pushing the asphalt up from the shingles". She then did her "research" and found out that the best way to clean a roof is with a pressure washer. We were called back 3 weeks later after her painter/roofwasher pressure washed her roof and it didnt take off the "asphalt" needless to say we did not do that job, but I did recommend my roofing company. Long and short of it way to much misinformation out there.
