I quit !!!!!!!!!

I had that same realization when just the other day.

Unlike you we have just 1 rig,To make the jump from full time owner/operator to an 3/4 business owner 1/4 operator will require some new toys and employees(I'm so looking forward to that endeavor).
I would have never believed that the last 6 to 8 months would have gone the way the have for our small family business, but with prayer and perseverance good things do happen to people who are patient.

Shiny New rig and some shiney toys for Scott!!! Cool, Shiny rigs are great, for one thing and that is to make money. Its not an ego thing its a biz thing, good biz I say to have good equipment that makes you $$$$

Well I hope you get what you need and keep growing

High strung ahole Scott is always around when needed.I've started putting more things into the hands of the man upstairs instead of worrying myself sick over them and he's taking care of business.

Does this mean you are going to join the PWNA??:D I miss hostile, irrational, ahole Scott!!:D

Seriously, good for you---it is good to level out sometimes and see the bigger picture.

JFife,
I won't say never,ever,but at the current time it's a resounding NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The less I stress myself about egos and getting in arguements on the internet with screen names the more time I have to focus on my family and company.
We got a request last week to do a job on Sunday and I turned it down. Why?That's my day for church and the time they wanted us on the jobsite was going to conflict with morning services. They could've had the work done late tonight or early tomorrow, but if they couldn't have it their way at their time they would hire someone else.I personally don't want or need customers who think they are more important or superior to my family or me.These folks fit the bill 10 fold.
1 weekend a month sometimes 2 I have my kids from my first marriage,I don't work then either.I owe it to my kids to be a dad/father and work can wait a few days so I can do that for them.

You really want to have funny and see ahole Scott ride in traffic with me..........you hear the F word more in 2 miles than you will in a full Soprano's episode.

i dont know Russ, if your not standing there with you hand on your hips at least watching they wont do sh..t. maybe? good luck and congrats

Years ago the owner of the largest pressure washing company in Phoenix told me "You will never be successful in this business if you do not work on Sunday" I still don't, and I am still in business. He is out of business, (Okay, he sold out to Fleetwash) and I don't know what he is doing now. For a year or two, he was their West coast VP, since he was the largest contractor that they had bought, but that did not last long. Kind of funny. My thought is, if they really want me to do their work, I can make it work with both of our schedules, Sunday is not one of those scheduled days.

(disclaimer; I have one Major account that works 6 days a week, that I have to do on Sunday, but it does not start until 8 pm and no one is forced to do that job, except me when no one else will, and I do have one job that starts at 10 pm on Sunday. So I guess it is a Jewish Sabbath.)

hey Russ i felt like quiting to, my wife saw all this money comming in, but she didnt see the money i spent. she ask me for 700.00 dollars, 6 for tires and 100 for makeup. i gave her the 600.00 for tires for safety reasons but told her i spent the 100 on beer, she dont need no makeup thats what the beer is for.
