I need a 3/8 (150 ft ) Hose Reel

Most of the inexpensive one arm reels are only rated for 140*.

Im going to call Bob today... I just took the bed off the ford truck .. and we are fixing to put the flat bed on.. Ok I admit it I am Scared ... You know a ford truck with out a bed is really ugly... but hey it was ugly when the bed was on it .. The plan is to extend the 8 ft bed to 10 ft.. starting from the cab ,back tool box, whitco machine mounted side to side, soap tank, supplys. surface cleaner laid flat, and then a hose reel for the pressure hose and one for the garden hose on the very back..
Its going to be a treated wood 2x6x10 deck with mteal sides and rear trim.
I figure total weight with machine , bed, trim, hose, reels, and all around 1300 lbs on the back of the truck... This is going to work great.. We have decided to replace the small gas tank on the 13hp honda of the whitco with a 16 gallon tank mounted on a frame . Deisel Tank is fine on the machine.. No water tank .. But if I need one I will have a 250 gallon water tank on my tralier.. Well Thanks yall I am calling Bob..... and Then it's off to welding I go

Italked to Bob , He suggested Cox Reels .. About 150 ... I am ordering Friday..
or as soon as the flatbed gets thru... Now I just Got to figure out what color to paint the cab of the truck I don't really Like the Brown and Grey Primer Look.....

I do not like that style of reel. Get a model 1425, The heavier duty cox reels are very nice, though...

We just got one of those cox reels from Bob - its a challenger 250' and Nate HATES it.....He says it is really really hard to wind up - and I have done it and agree with him. We also ordered a Rapid Reel for our garden hose, and man that thing is NICE. We are going to swap out the Cox reel for another Rapid Reel.

Just my .02 Cents!

The Thing about the rapid reel is that I use double Braid Hose and man this stuff is heavy. I was Thinking that the way rapid reel is designed with that on arm to support it that it might sag if I put 200 feet on it. I can get the rapid reel Local for about 150.00 . But I have seen one like Russ has ( Not the same brand name) But it is similar and has a pin in it that keeps it from unwinding on you and also has a heavier support .. If All I got to do is spend and extra $60 or $ 70 it might be worth it.

John, i got mine and liked it so well iI just ordered another one with the stacking kit ,its around 40 pounds by its self and i always liked the rapid reels because the saved space but the really are not heavy enough to stand up under heavy use and 200 foot of 4000 psi double braid hose will nor fit properly it will comfortably only hold 150 to 175 ,(200 will fit but not well)

Well I may have won a hose reel on ebay .. It is a pretty heavy looking one but I think since it is used I will use it for my garden hose... Wierd thing just happened a little while ago though I had some one ask me if I was selling my van .. He mentioned something about starting a pressure washing company.. Damn I am fixing to move all of my equipment into a storage building with surveillence cameras everywhere....

Hannay's are very nice reels, for what it is worth. I do not like Rapid reels. I had VERY poor luck with the one that I had. It only lasted about 4 months before it was junk.

I am still going to get a new reel but I just won 2 hose reels for 50.00 each off of ebay.. I think I am going to use one of these for air hose from my fire extinguisher recharge tank and one of the for my garden hose.. these have some rust but they look heavy... the guy I won them from says the are both pretty heavy .. here are the photos of the 2.. They are missing the handles so I will have to make some
