I need some help I recently had to take my gear box apart so that I could run the motor by itself so I could adjust the carb I am not sure if it is supposed to have seal or not?

Its a Cat Pump gear driven 3500psi 4.5 gpm on a 11 Honda.

I know more about small engines than I do pressure washer pumps I am trying to learn i cant always afford to take to a shop and get charged a arm and a leg.

What did I do wrong? and what can I do to fix it? :)

I will try to get some pics tomorrow.

There are 4 seals/gaskets in the gearbox. The seal at the engine shaft, the o ring at the box seperation, the gasket at the side of the pump, and the shaft seal of the pump. If you just seperated the gearbox halves, I'd say the o ring didn't get seated properly upon reassembly.
