I rolled out my kids/employees today to work for the first time this week, due to rain. Only had enough work for one crew, so I thought that it would be good for another day off. I was driving past a local store and someone was cleaning the store front. Just last week I went into the store and noticed some serious scribbling on the walk, and that it appeared that it had recently been cleaned.
Anyway, I was driving by, and saw someone out there cleaning the lot with his pressure washer. He had about a 6 foot wand and was holding it nearly parallel to the lot. I thought at first that he was just rinsing it off after washing it. Then I turned around and drove by again, and noticed that he was a little further down, but not much and still doing the same thing. That got me reallly curious, and I waited ten minutes, ran a quick errand, and came back and drove by a last time. There he was in all his glory doing the exact same thign, about two feet from where he was before. This time I made an effort to check out what he had for equipment. He had a brand new Delco machine, the latest and greatest one that they have to offer, a water tank on a trailer, and maybe a hose reel. No surface cleaner, no chems, no cones, nothing else that was apparent. I guess some people feel that a wand is all you need, but at least he should have had a short enough wand to point at the concrete.
I need to drive by again and check out his rinse job.
