"The unique patented design of the Hudson Valve uses fluid pressure, as opposed to a lever arm and ball, as the force to close the valve. This compact, self-contained design greatly enhances the valve's reliability. The valve body is made of durable glass-filled nylon 6/6. Internal parts are of ABS plastic, silicone, and stainless steel. When properly installed, the valve will meet anti-siphon requirements." (Hudsonvalve.com)

A highly recommended float valve. The only problem I have ever seen with them is if your water quality is poor it will affect the process the float uses to shut the water off.

Could small particles that enter the float damage it because the screen was removed? I need to consider getting a float for my 325 gallon tank as I get tired of running back and forth to turn on or shut off my water supply. Good info!

Hudson Valves are great valves, I took out the screen inside it and kept on having trash get in there and keep the valve from stopping the flow and the tank kept on overflowing.

I was thinking of getting a larger water filter like 1" with reducer bushings before the float valve to keep it from getting trash in it and not stopping the water flow when the tank is full.

Hudson's are great. Pull out the screen in side and filter you water before it hits the pump. More water flow. I saw you flinch Lori:smilewinkgrin:

+10 Did the same thing with mine. Look for me to show this in a video coming soon.

This one is on 325gal., I have another one on the 100gal that is on the trailer. For the big one, I keep in the tool box 3 lengths of nipples, so if I don't want the whole 325gal filled, I put longer nipple. Hand tightened, not tool needed, only tape on the treads. The Hudson valve is a must in my opinion.

Dimitar,
Great info and picture. I was going to ask if some folks put the valve at a lower level than the top as a lot of the time I don't want to have 325 gallons (and the heavy weight) on my trailer. This idea is great! Thanks. :thumbup2:

dimitar ya gotta clean the tank:dance:
